When compared with other age groups, young people are less likely to receive help from mental health professionals. Barriers to help-seeking include the lack of youth-friendly service platforms and high stigmatisation of mental disorders.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club was named as the Grand Winner in the “HR Best Practice – Training & Development” category and in the “COVID-19 Special Award - Corporate” category in the SCMP - Classified Post HR Appreciation Awards 2020 which were presented today (30 March).

Youth development is one of the areas of strategic charity focus for The Hong Kong Jockey Club. To help young people discover their abilities and unleash their potential, the Club supported the reconstruction of The Hong Kong Award For Young People Jockey Club Duke of Edinburgh Training Camp (the Campsite) in Tai Po with approved donations of over HK$203 million from its Charities Trust.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is pleased to support the “No Limits” project for the third consecutive year to showcase the talents of differently-abled art maestros worldwide and make arts accessible for the enjoyment of all. In view of the pandemic, this year the event features a combination of online and onsite programmes.

A ceremony was held today (2 March) to mark the commencement of structure works for the Jockey Club One Health Tower at the City University of Hong Kong (CityU). The tower is funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club with an approved donation of HK$500 million from its Charities Trust, the Trust’s largest-ever donation to CityU. The tower will serve as an education and research base for veterinary medicine and biomedical sciences under the concept of ‘One Health’.

The 49th Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF), the city’s annual international celebration of the arts and culture, opened last night (27 February). The Hong Kong Jockey Club is pleased to provide funding support, as it has done for nearly half a century. In view of the pandemic, the Club has also supported the HKAF to bring a wide variety of outstanding performances and educational programmes online this year.

Given the rising demand for healthcare services, with the support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, the Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) has established the OUHK Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare. The new institute, which opened today (8 January), is home to a suite of academic programmes aimed at nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals to address community needs.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today (22 December) the launch of the Jockey Club Facilities Enhancement Scheme for Pandemic Preparedness at Residential Care Homes which will offer a one-off subsidy to all residential care homes for the elderly (“RCHEs”), residential care homes for persons with disabilities (“RCHDs”) and Nursing Homes (“NHs”) subvented by the Social Welfare Department (“SWD”) in Hong Kong to upgrade their safety and infection control facilities in response to COVID-19. Together with a related pilot programme, the approved funding from the Club’s Charities Trust for the scheme totals HK$243 million...

The Hong Kong Jockey Club has been honoured with the International Award at the DHL/SCMP Hong Kong Business Awards 2020, which were announced at the awards ceremony on 16th December. The Award recognises the Club’s achievement in developing new overseas markets and its success in enhancing Hong Kong’s international reputation

The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today (15 December) the launch of PROcruit C, a talent matching and development initiative for fresh graduates seeking jobs amid the ongoing pandemic, to nurture caring and motivated talent for the community.
