The Hong Kong Jockey Club is committed to positive ageing and elderly care and to improving the quality of life of citizens as they age. To empower the elderly to live in their own homes as long as possible, the Club’s Charities Trust has approved donations of HK$167 million to support the city’s first one-stop gerontech service, the Jockey Club “age at home” Gerontech Education and Rental Service. The four and a half year pilot project is being implemented with four charity partners.

Initiated and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project is hosting a four-day symposium themed "Looking Beyond the Pandemic: Creativity and Innovation in Promoting Resilience in Families and Children". Representatives from the Government, academia, the social welfare sector and various cross-sectoral stakeholders will discuss creative ways in which information and communication technology (ICT) can be used to promote family well-being and resilience.

With the conclusion of the equestrian events of the 14th National Games today (25 September), Club-supported rider Kenneth Cheng completed his fourth National Games. His final ranking after the Individual Jumping competitions was fifth.

With support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Hong Kong News-Expo today (25 September) launched a new exhibition - Going for Olympic Gold–which will run for five months.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club has long been committed to promoting a healthy community and to furthering medical and healthcare in Hong Kong. With the official opening today (9 September) of the CUHK Medical Centre it reached a new milestone.

The International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) announced today that Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Chief Executive Officer of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, has been elected its new Chairman, effective October 2021.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today (31 August) its results for the 2020/21 financial year ended 30 June 2021. Despite a challenging year, the Club set a new turnover record of HK$279.7 billion, enabling it to make a significant return to the community of HK$29.4 billion. This included a record HK$24.9 billion to the Government in duty, profits tax and Lotteries Fund contributions, and HK$4.5 billion in approved charity donations.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club welcomes the announcement that the State Council has endorsed that the 15th National Games in 2025 will be hosted jointly by Guangdong Province, Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR.

In recent years, the number of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) studying in mainstream primary and secondary schools has continued to rise. To help them better integrate into school life, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has donated over HK$410 million since 2015 to initiate and implement the “JC A-Connect: Jockey Club Autism Support Network” (JC A-Connect).

In its long-standing commitment to local sports development, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is pleased to announce its Charities Trust will provide HK$150 million in funding to match the Hong Kong SAR Government's HK$150 million grant to boost research and development in elite sports in the coming three years.
