The “Summer · Harbour” campaign, exclusively sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, officially opened today (16 June). Members of the public can enjoy summer-themed art created by local illustrators and designers and other fun activities at six designated sites on the harbourfront from 17 June. The campaign is one of many initiatives organised by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, which the Club is supporting through an approved donation of HK$630 million.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club helped kick off the "Celebrations for All" campaign today (11 June), spreading love to many community members, ahead of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). It is one of the many anniversary initiatives organised by the Government, which the Club is supporting through an approved donation of HK$630 million.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club ("Club") announced today (10 June) that The Honourable Bernard Charnwut Chan, GBM, GBS, JP has been co-opted to join the Board of Stewards. He will fill a vacancy left by Mrs Margaret Leung SBS JP, who retires at the age of 70 on the same date after serving as a Steward of the Club since September 2014. In appreciation of her outstanding service and contribution to the Club, the Board has invited Mrs Leung to become an Honorary Steward.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) staged the Apprentice Jockeys’ School (AJS) 50th Anniversary Race Day at Sha Tin Racecourse today (5 June) to commemorate the milestone anniversary of the AJS and its contribution to nurturing Hong Kong horse racing talents over the past 50 years. The feature race, AJS 50th Anniversary Cup (Class 3 1200m) was won by the Douglas Whyte trained Ace One under jockey Ruan Maia.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club was honoured by the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) today (2 June) with the naming of the auditorium in the museum as “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Auditorium”. This is in recognition of the HK$3.5 billion donation made by the Club’s Charities Trust to construct the museum.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) held a plaque unveiling ceremony of the Racing Talent Training Centre Apprentice Jockeys’ School today (Sunday, 29 May) at the Apprentice Jockeys’ School.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) is pleased to announce that Chief Executive Officer Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges has been unanimously elected as the President of International Horse Sports Confederation (IHSC) at the organisation’s General Assembly on 22 April 2022.

Volunteers from The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s CARE@hkjc team prepared 3,000 gift packs for the Hospital Authority on Saturday, 2 April to express gratitude to medical professionals who have worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The gift packs contain KN95 masks, a smartwatch that measures blood oxygen levels and traditional Chinese medicine.

In a further response to the latest wave of the pandemic, The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today (28 March) that it is providing additional support for healthcare and elderly services. This includes the launch of the Jockey Club Affordable Outpatient Services Subsidy Scheme for non-COVID-19 patients; support for the opening of isolation facilities at CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC) for COVID-19 patients referred from public hospitals; and the expansion of the Jockey Club Support Project for the Elderly under COVID-19. With public health services stretched, the above support will help vulnerable individuals and families get access to the healthcare and elderly services they need.

In a further initiative to support the government’s anti-pandemic efforts, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has undertaken to offer its Telebet Centre in Tin Shui Wai to the Home Affairs Department for use as a hotline facility to respond to public enquiries under the StayHomeSafe Scheme.
