The Hong Kong Jockey Club announces it has donated HK$20 million to the Zhengzhou Municipal Government via the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR to assist Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, in rescue and relief efforts following its devastating flooding.

One of the most remarkable seasons in Hong Kong racing’s storied history ended in spectacular style on Wednesday, 14 July with Caspar Fownes, Joao Moreira and Vincent Ho securing the jurisdiction’s most coveted titles to crown an extraordinary 2020/21 season.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is pleased to announce that one rider and three para riders supported by the Club will be participating in the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. They represent the largest number of qualified equestrian athletes Hong Kong has ever sent to the two Games.

Initiated and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Jockey Club Age-friendly City Project (“JCAFC Project”) organised the Jockey Club Age-friendly City International Conference cum City Partnership Scheme Award Presentation Ceremony today to bring together the government, businesses, academia, and the civic society in Hong Kong and overseas to share best practices in building an age-friendly city, facilitate knowledge exchange, as well as enhance future collaboration and sustainable development.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club was named the Most Attractive Employer in Hong Kong by international human resources solutions agency Randstad in its 2021 Employer Brand Research survey released today (4 June), cementing its position as an employer of choice in the city. The Club has regularly been ranked among the top five employers locally and this year topped the list with the highest score among 75 of the largest companies in Hong Kong, which is a testament to the Club’s contributions to society, good corporate reputation, financial health and COVID-19 safe work environment.

A selection of Russian royal treasures from the 16th to 18th centuries from the Moscow Kremlin Museums will be on display in Hong Kong for the first time in The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Tsar of All Russia. Holiness and Splendour of Power exhibition. The exhibition, solely supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, will be open to the public from tomorrow until 29 August at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.

With support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club, over 100 surrealist masterpieces from the collection of the Centre Pompidou will be exhibited in Hong Kong. The exhibition is part of the French May Arts Festival which the Club is supporting for the tenth year.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is pleased to announce the signing today (14 May 2021) of a Framework Cooperation Agreement (“Agreement”) with the Guangzhou Municipal Government which will jointly take forward the promotion and development of the equine industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (“GBA”). The Agreement provides a solid foundation for mutual cooperation and collaboration for the realisation of the “National Equine Industry Development Plan 2020-2025” promulgated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and General Administration of Sport last year.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), children and adolescents aged 5 to 17 should do at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity every day. In response to the high demand for community sports facilities, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has redeveloped the concourse area between Grandstand Two and the MTR Racecourse Station at the Sha Tin Racecourse into a covered sports facility named the Sha Tin Racecourse Sports Ground (STRCSG). The STRCSG will be officially opened on 1 May 2021 (Saturday).
