Natural disasters can have a devastating impact on communities. Responding to urgent needs, the Club has donated funds to help those hard-hit by these calamities.

In addition to HK$1 billion pledged to support a series of reconstruction and capacity-building projects in Sichuan following the earthquake in 2008, the Club has donated:

• HK$2 million following the earthquake in Qinghai Province in 2010
• HK$5 million to help those impacted by the mudslide in Zhouqu Prefecture, Gansu Province in 2010
• HK$10 million following the earthquake in Lushan Prefecture, Sichuan Province in 2013
• HK$20 million after flooding in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province in 2021
• HK$20 million after flooding in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and in Northeast China in 2023
