The role of the Hong Kong Jockey Club's (HKJC) Conghua Racecourse as a catalyst for the further developement of horse racing in China was outlined at the 38th Asian Racing Conference (ARC) in Cape Town, South Africa.

The 38th Asian Racing Conference (ARC) closed in Cape Town, South Africa last night (Friday, 21 February) with the Asian Racing Federation (ARF) Secretary General Mr. Andrew Harding celebrating the strides taken to “unlock racing’s potential” in the spirit of the conference theme.

Collaboration, communication, transparency and integrity were identified as key factors in helping racing authorities around the world form fruitful partnerships with government in a session titled 'Engaging with the Government as a Stakeholder' at the 38th Asian Racing Conference (ARC) in Cape Town, South Africa on Friday afternoon (21 February, 2020).

The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today (21 February 2020) a further donation of 350,000 adult medical masks to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19. This follows a previous donation of masks announced on 14 February, bringing the total contribution to 680,000.

In view of the health risk associated with the novel coronavirus and the global shortage of medical masks, the Hong Kong Jockey Club has been working to source and purchase masks for the protection of its employees and their families, as well as the community. The Club is pleased to announce that a stock of masks has now arrived. These will be donated to the community as well as distributed to all employees and their families.

A record-breaking turnout of over 4,400 athletes with intellectual disabilities and their pair-up runners competed in the annual TWGHs “iRun” – The Hong Kong Jockey Club Special Marathon, which took place on the Central and Western District Promenade today (12 January).

The Jockey Club CADENZA Hub (JCCH), established in 2009 with funding from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, marked a new milestone as it celebrated its tenth anniversary today (14 December). The recently renovated Hub offers enhanced preventive primary healthcare and day care services to further promote active and positive ageing in the community.
