In preparation for the equestrian events of the Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which were held in Hong Kong, the Club provided HK$1.2 billion to fund the construction of competition venues. It managed their construction and provided 24-hour veterinary services. This was also the first time for the Club to provide testing services for equine doping control at an Olympic equestrian venue. The Club was honoured as “Outstanding Contributor, Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Equestrian Events” for its contribution.
