Following the Annual General Meeting of The Hong Kong Jockey Club held today (8 September), the new Board of Stewards elected Mr Michael T H Lee as Chairman of the Club for 2022/23 and Dr Eric Li Ka Cheung as Deputy Chairman.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today (8 September) its results for the 2021/22 financial year ended 30 June 2022 (FY2021/22).

The Dunhuang Caves are widely renowned as being one of the largest and most historically important Buddhist art relics in the world. A selection of exquisite artworks from Dunhuang will be displayed at "The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Dunhuang: Enchanting Tales for Millennium" exhibition at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum from 24 August until 21 November.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Chief Stipendiary Steward (CSS), Mr Kim Kelly, will retire in January 2023. Mr Kelly joined the Club in 2002 and was appointed CSS in 2009.

The partnership between The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Manchester United reaches a new milestone this year as the two renowned sporting organisations celebrate a decade-long collaboration with a series of initiatives that demonstrate the Club’s commitment to the betterment of our society.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is the exclusive sponsor of “Creative Tomorrow”, the first¬-ever arts tech festival at the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD). From July 2022 to March 2023, it will showcase spectacular live performances and online programmes, covering xiqu, music, theatre, dance and experimental installations, which combine art and technology.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today (22 July) the promotion of Mr Michael Fitzsimons to the position of Executive Director, Wagering Products with effect from 1 September 2022.

Over the past 24 years, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships have nurtured more than 880 talented individuals to become caring leaders for the betterment of our society. The Hong Kong Jockey Club today (20 July) held a presentation ceremony to award scholarships to a new cohort of 42 undergraduate students and six postgraduate students in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and commitment to serving the community. The Club also congratulated 44 recently graduated Scholars as they embark on a new chapter in their lives.

A selection of 40 outstanding masterpieces by Italian Baroque artists will be displayed for the first time in Hong Kong at “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: The Road to the Baroque - Masterpieces from the Capodimonte Museum” exhibition.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is pleased to support the “Clansmen Culture Exhibition” through its Charities Trust. Organised by the Home Affairs Department, the exhibition is a showcase of Chinese culture and traditions which also seeks to connect citizens with their ancestral roots. The exhibition is one of many initiatives supported by the Club’s approved donation of HK$630 million to the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR. The Clansmen Culture Exhibition opens today (6 July) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and runs until 12 July 2022, with free admission.
