For the first time in five years, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charites Trust is pleased to once again convene the Philanthropy for Better Cities Forum, which will be held on 11 and 12 September at the West Kowloon Cultural District. With the overarching theme “Philanthropy for Fairer Societies”, this year’s forum will bring together close to 70 prominent speakers and 1,600 delegates from around the world.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) announced today (22 August) the signing of a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with the China Horse Industry Association (“the CHIA”) in support of the Mainland’s equine industry development.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) announced today (18 August) the donation of HK$20 million to help with flood relief in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and Northeast China. This follows the devastating floods which have hit the region in recent weeks. The Club’s donation is being co-ordinated via the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR (“CLO”).

The Manchester United Academy U16 squad played in the Jockey Club Youth Football Summit’s second friendly match against the Hong Kong, China Youth Select Team today (12 August) at Mong Kok Stadium, where both sides exhibited great determination and teamwork. The game ended in a win for the Manchester United team with a final score of 3-2.

The first friendly match of the Jockey Club Youth Football Academy Summit was held tonight (9 August) at Mong Kok Stadium, with the Hong Kong, China U18 Representative Team playing against the visiting Manchester United Academy U16 team. Both teams played a spirited game, delivering a thrilling match for spectators. After a resilient display of teamwork by the local players, the game ended with a final score of 0 – 3 to the Manchester team.

The Jockey Club Youth Football Academy Summit hosted a joint training session today (8 August) at the Jockey Club HKFA Football Training Centre for the visiting Manchester United Academy U16 team and the Hong Kong, China U18 Representative Team, allowing players to break through boundaries, learn from each other’s training methods and improve together. The Summit, organised by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, is being held from 6 to 13 August.

Organised by The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”), the Jockey Club Youth Football Academy Summit kicked off yesterday (6 August) and will run until 13 August. The Manchester United Academy U16 squad arrived in Hong Kong yesterday to participate in the week-long cultural and football exchange programme with local players.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club today (25 July) announced its continued support for the Hong Kong Sports Institute (“HKSI”) by sponsoring the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme (“JCAIAS”). This sponsorship, which extends the Club’s support for the JCAIAS for three years, comes as local elite athletes gear up to compete in this year’s Asian Games in Hangzhou, as well as FISU World University Games in Chengdu.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is pleased to announce today (20 July) that nine athletes (11 rider-horse combinations) supported by the Club will represent Hong Kong, China at the 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou from September to October this year. This is the largest equestrian squad Hong Kong, China has ever sent to the games. All of the athletes are members of the HKJC Equestrian Team and have benefited from high-level coaching and professional support provided by the Club under the Hong Kong Equestrian Performance Plan.

The newly rebuilt HKFYG Jockey Club Stanley Outdoor Training Camp reopened today (19 July), offering more opportunities for disadvantaged groups and young people to enjoy the pleasures and benefits of water sports. The redevelopment of the camp, which is operated by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), was supported by an approved donation of over HK$140 million from The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Charities Trust.
