Jockey Club supports exhibition commemorating life of Soong Ching Ling to promote collaboration and exchanges between Hong Kong and the Mainland

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is delighted to be one of the sponsors of “Serving Her Country and People Heart and Soul — Exhibition of Soong Ching Ling’s Life”, which held its opening ceremony today (15 September) at the Hong Kong Central Library.

The exhibition is co-organised by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (“CSCLF”), Hong Kong Rosamond Foundation and Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Study Association, and commemorates the life of Soong, the late Honorary President of the People’s Republic of China.

Club Chairman Michael Lee joined Li Bin, Vice-Chairperson of the 13th CPPCC National Committee and Chairperson of the CSCLF; Zheng Yanxiong, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“CLO”); and Kevin Yeung, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the HKSAR Government in officiating at the opening ceremony.

Club Chairman Michael Lee and CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges held a meeting with Li Bin and Deputy Director of the CLO Yin Zonghua after the opening ceremony. They exchanged views on the Mainland’s philanthropic landscape as well as the Club’s latest development and philanthropic initiatives in Hong Kong and the Mainland. The Club will continue to explore areas of collaboration and strengthen cultural, sports and youth exchanges between Hong Kong and the Mainland.

The exhibition is free of charge and will be open to the public from tomorrow (16 September) until 14 October at the Exhibition Gallery of the Hong Kong Central Library.
