To support the HKSAR Government’s efforts to boost the city’s night economy, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) today (14 September) unveiled two significant months-long initiatives in prominent downtown locations. These initiatives have been rolled out to provide a diverse range of nighttime entertainment choices for both residents and tourists.

1. Free admission to Happy Valley Racecourse with enhanced Happy Wednesday (mid-September - December 2023)

Happy Valley Racecourse on Wednesdays offers excitement for racegoers to experience Hong Kong’s international racing with thematic entertainment and cuisine trackside.

From 20 September to December 2023, visitors can enjoy vibrant night festivals during “Happy Wednesday” at the Public Enclosure of Happy Valley Racecourse. In addition to the Beer Garden, a host of themed performances and appetising food have been lined up for the public to revel in a unique trackside experience like no other.

2. Tai Kwun (October 2023 – February 2024)

Located in the heart of Central, Tai Kwun presents art, culture and heritage experiences for the enjoyment of residents and tourists. Unique nightlife experiences have been planned over the next few months to rejuvenate the neighbourhood’s nightlife through a wide variety of performances, art exhibitions and sumptuous food in Tai Kwun’s relaxing surroundings.

The Club hopes these initiatives in the heart of the city will help to bring more nighttime vibrancy to Hong Kong.
