Mr Lester G Huang joins the Board of Stewards of The Hong Kong Jockey Club. Mr Philip N L Chen named Deputy Chairman

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“Club”) announced today (10 April) that Mr Lester G Huang has been co-opted to join the Board of Stewards. He will fill a vacancy left by Mr Lester C H Kwok, who retires at the age of 70 on the same date after more than 14 years as a Steward of the Club. In appreciation of his outstanding service and contribution to the Club, the Board has invited Mr Kwok to become an Honorary Steward.

The Club also announced that Steward Mr Philip N L Chen has been elected as the Club's Deputy Chairman after the retirement of Mr Kwok. 

Mr Lester G Huang has been a Club Member since 1988 and became a Voting Member in 2011. Mr Huang is currently Co-Chairman of P.C. Woo & Co., Solicitors. His personal profile is attached.

Paying tribute to Mr Kwok, Club Chairman Dr Anthony W K Chow said, “On behalf of the Board of Stewards, I would like to thank Lester for his dedicated service and valuable contribution to the Club over the years. I would also like to welcome Lester Huang, who brings to the Board of Stewards a strong commitment to the Club and its purpose, as well as extensive business and legal experience and an outstanding record of public service.”
