“We attach great importance to ensuring that the heritage buildings within the Central Police Station compound are properly cared for. The Club has engaged not only local but also international experts to help Hong Kong conserve and revitalize these important heritage buildings.
Following the events last night we immediately instructed the local and international experts and contractors to ensure the safety of the site and to make sure the affected area was sealed off. We have also asked for a safety review and a detailed report. In addition, we have instructed the team to work closely and proactively with relevant government departments and the Central and Western District Council. We will keep the public informed of the latest developments.”
