Appointment of Executive Director, Corporate Business Planning & Communications of The Hong Kong Jockey Club

The Hong Kong Jockey Club today announced the promotion of Ms Scarlette Leung to the position of Executive Director, Corporate Business Planning & Communications with effect from 1 September 2015.  

The responsibilities of the Corporate Business Planning & Communications division include Corporate Planning, Business Intelligence, Corporate Performance Measures, Business Process Improvement Advisory, Market Research, Branding, Creative Services, Web Marketing and Services, and Public Affairs (Corporate Communications).

Ms Leung joined the Club in 2001 as Financial Controller (Corporate Financial Planning & Budgeting, CFP&B), and in 2004 her role was expanded as Financial Controller (CFP&B and Racing).  In 2008 she was promoted to the position of Director of Corporate Business Planning, responsible for establishing the Club’s corporate strategy and business planning functions and reporting directly to the CEO. 

Ms Leung holds a Bachelor of Science (Highest Honours) in Finance & Accounting from the Hass School of Business of the University of California and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management jointly with HKUST.  Before joining the Club, she was Director of Finance, Asia Pacific of the Clorox Company, a Fortune 500 consumer products company, where she worked both in its headquarters in the US and in its Asia regional office in Hong Kong.  Prior to Clorox, Scarlette was Manager of Credit & Investment Administration Department at First Pacific Bank HK.
