Jockey Cluba£į?s community outreach programmes help more students and less privileged appreciate CAVALIA up close and personal

04/08/2015

To celebrate its 130th Anniversary, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is bringing CAVALIA, a grand theatrical production renowned for its innovative mix of equestrian and performing arts, multimedia and special effects, to Hong Kong. During the Hong Kong tour, the Club will collaborate with CAVALIA to host a series of outreach programmes to benefit the local community. Amongst these programmes, the first behind-the-scene tour was held today (8 April), whereby a group of disabled beneficiaries together with their family members were given a chance to learn from and be inspired by the hard work and dedication of CAVALIA performers.

As the Presenting Sponsor of CAVALIA, the Club is providing tickets for 10,000 students and the less-privileged to attend five special matinee shows. About 4,000 people have joined the first two matinees in late March.  From 3 to 5 April, CAVALIA artists also shared their skills during the HKJC Community Festival held at Sha Tin Racecourse and Penfold Park.

More matinee shows, behind-the-scene tours and acrobatic sessions are scheduled to be held later in April.
