Seamlessly blending art and technology and opening up a new era in 3D animation in the process, The Hong Kong's Jockey Club's’s Chinese New Year TV commercial proved hugely popular with the public. It has now achieved similarly high peer recognition by being honoured with both the Best Digital Entertainment Grand Award and the Best Digital Entertainment (Animation) Gold Award in the  Hong Kong ICT Awards 2014.

After gaining official sanction from the Xu Beihong Arts Committee, the HKJC set about animating four of the legendary artist’s best-known masterpieces to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Horse. The judging panel observed that “In the computer graphics industry, it is a new attempt with good marketing potential. To be a trailblazer who essays new things is a good start.”
