HKJCa£á?s innovative CNY Float shines photo release

In the International Chinese New Year Night Parade held in Tsim Sha Tsui this evening (10 February), the glittering float of The Hong Kong Jockey Club lit up the night sky with its innovative use of the latest projection mapping techniques, while its 30-member performing troupe warmed the hearts of local residents and visitors with their dancing flair.

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is not only one of the world's leading horse racing organisations but also a world top 15 charitable organisation and Hong Kong’s largest community contributor, donating HK$1.7 billion in 2012. It is also a major taxpayer, Hong Kong's single largest by far, generating over HK$16 billion a year for public funds. The Club pioneers technology applications for sporting and betting entertainment, striving for the highest levels of customer service. As a membership club, it is recognised as one of Asia’s most prestigious, with more than 23,000 members. For the 18th consecutive year since inauguration of the event, The Hong Kong Jockey Club participates in the International Chinese New Year Night Parade. Its float, bearing the theme a£á?World-Class Racing Shinesa£á?, features three glittering horses at full gallop, racing through landmarks from cities around the world a£á¡§ a reminder that Hong Kong is famed not only locally but internationally for its top-quality horse racing. It also showcases how the Club, thanks to its unique not-for-profit business model, serves as a Force for Good in the community by transforming the public gaming demand into significant tax payments and charitable donations.

The displays portray the Cluba£á?s mission as a Force for Good, with its charitable hoofprints reaching all corners of the community.
