EQUESTRIAN PAVILION ATTRACTS ALMOST 60,000 VISITORS

15 April 2008

The Club's Equestrian Pavilion in Penfold Park has attracted almost 60,000 visitors since it was opened in November of last year. The last of five District Council days organised by the Club drew a further 1,300 visitors on Sunday, 13 April.  The District Council visitors enjoyed local one-day Jumping and Dressage competitions in Penfold Park, site of the training facilities for the 2008 Olympic Equestrian Events in August.  The visitors indulged in a relaxed Sunday by visiting the Equestrian Pavilion and game booths, as well as having their photos taken with the Equestrian Ambassador and Shetland ponies.

The Equestrian Pavilion in Penfold Park has been much welcomed by the public since its opening in November. It allows the public to share the excitement for this year's Olympic Equestrian Events, as well as to understand more about the equestrian sports and the Beijing 2008 Olympics. The Equestrian Pavilion appeals to all levels, including government officials, media members, schools and groups from all districts.

The Equestrian Pavilion will be closed on April 30, 2008 at 5:30pm due to the preparation for the Equestrian Games in August.
