Jockey Club's recruitment drive offers fresh start to seasoned workers and new graduates alike

18/02/2011

Nearly 10,000 job-seekers have swamped The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s booth at the annual Education & Careers Expo during its recruitment exercise there over the past two days (17/18 February).  For the first time, the Club offered applicants on-site interviews for some 600 part-time and 70 full-time jobs in different areas of the business.  A total of 700 applications were received by the Club at the event, many of them from fresh graduates.

By offering a variety of part-time and full-time opportunities in such areas as customer services, catering, betting, membership services and equestrian affairs, the Club hopes to help both experienced workers and fresh graduates enter the job market.  As one of Hong Kong’s largest employers, the Club is especially committed to nurturing young talent.

The Club is looking for people with diversified talents to join its team, in particular those who have already acquired basic skills, show good potential, have enthusiasm for equestrian activities and – most importantly – can share and connect with the Club’s corporate values of “customer centricity”.

Through this recruitment drive, members of the public have also been able to learn more about the Club’s corporate culture, including its commitment to connecting with the community as a customer-centric organisation and its dedication to enhancing the quality of Hong Kong's workforce in general, through continuous training and people development.

After the Club’s recruitment exercise which ended today, interested parties can continue to view employment opportunities currently available at the Club by logging on to the Club’s website at and submitting their applications by post, fax or e-mail.
