Penfold Park ranked fourth in Best Garden Award

Wide public support has helped the popular Penfold Park at Sha Tin Racecourse rank fourth in The Best Garden in Hong Kong Award voting campaign organised by TVB Pearl.

Winners were decided by a public vote running from 10-22 April.  Following its initial nomination, Penfold Park was shortlisted as one of ten finalists alongside heavyweight contenders such as Victoria Park and Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Garden.  In the final voting, Penfold Park finished a close fourth behind winners Hong Kong Park, Sai Kung East Country Park and Nan Lian Garden.

Penfold Park is located in the infield of Sha Tin Racecourse.  Memorable Olympic legacy items are currently on display in the park, allowing the public to savour the Olympic legacy.  The Park is open daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, except Mondays and those days when daytime race meetings are held at Sha Tin Racecourse.  When there is a night race meeting at Sha Tin Racecourse, the Park is closed at 4:00 pm.  Should a public holiday fall on a Monday, the park opens as normal, but is then closed on the first working day after the public holiday.
