Hong Kong Jockey Club Chairman John C C Chan took to the stage last night (7 November) to support "Celebrities Sing for the Chest II", a fund-raising event organised by The Community Chest of Hong Kong to celebrate its 40th Anniversary.

Mr Chan was one of a number of local business people and celebrities who gave performances at a special dinner to raise funds for 144 member agencies of The Community Chest of Hong Kong. The donations received will be allocated 100% to the agencies with no deductions for expenses.

As well as making a donation on behalf of the Club, Mr Chan showed his support for the occasion by giving a singing performance.

The Club has been subsidising the administrative cost of The Community Chest of Hong Kong to ensure 100% allocation of funds to its beneficiaries, for improving social welfare services and assisting the needy in Hong Kong.
