Hong Kong Jockey Club announces sponsorship for Hong Kong equestrian team

Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Chief Executive Officer of The Hong Kong Jockey Club announces that, in keep with our role as the Outstanding Contributor of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Equestrian Events, The Hong Kong Jockey Club and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust have recently approved sponsorship to the Hong Kong Equestrian Federation, contributing up to HK$20 million for the purchase of up to four top-quality eventers for training and competition purposes for the Hong Kong Equestrian team for the Olympics and Paralympics.

The Club will provide financial assistance to cover training and competition costs for Hong Kong riders who have the potential to compete for a place. Details will be announced shortly.
