Racing trainee applicants attend riding test

150 shortlisted applicants who applied for positions as racing trainees attended the riding test at Beas River Country Club this morning.  Steve Railton, the Club’s Stipendiary Steward; John Ridley, Director of Racing Operations; trainers Almond Lee and Benno Yung as well as instructors of Apprentice Jockeys’ School, select talented applicants based on their riding performance. Those who passed the riding and fitness test will be arranged to join the orientation camp in August.  The 25 applicants with the best performances will be selected to join the racing trainee programme.
