Thousands of local residents flocked to The Hong Kong Jockey Club Tuen Mun Public Riding School Open Day today (13 May) to enjoy a host of equine-themed activities and learn more about horses and equestrian sport as families helped mums celebrate Mother’s Day with fun and laughter.
About the Hong Kong Jockey Club Riding Schools
The Club has long supported the development of equestrian sport in the city and operates three public riding schools located in Lei Yue Mun Park, Chai Wan and Pok Fu Lam on Hong Kong Island, and Tuen Mun in the New Territories. A fourth Club venue, Beas River Equestrian Centre at Sheung Shui, is for Club Members only. The schools are professionally managed by the Club's Equestrian Affairs Department and are recognised by the British Horse Society.
Tuen Mun Public Riding School is the largest of the four riding schools and serves over 22,000 people each year, while Lei Yue Mun and Pok Fu Lam each year serve 17,000 and 15,000 people respectively.
