Racecourse Wedding Fair showcases unique venues and eco-friendly banquet menu

05/22/2011

The Hong Kong Jockey Club held a Wedding Fair at Happy Valley Racecourse today (22 May), attracting many engaged couples to visit the Club’s distinctive wedding venues on-site and find out details of eco-friendly banquet menus from Chef Lam Wan-fai, Executive Chef (Racecourse-Chinese) of the Club.  Talks on Chinese wedding gowns, feng shui at home, make-up, skin care and photography as well as wedding car displays were arranged. Visitors were able to collect a wealth of useful wedding information at the event.

The Club also invited 17 other exhibitors to provide a one-stop-shop for wedding-related services, including wedding gowns, photography, wedding cars, jewellery and accessories, venue decoration and make-up services.  Professional snooker player Marco Fu and celebrity model Marie Zhuge led runway models in a fashionable wedding gown show.

There are 12 banquet venues at Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses, providing a range of flexible venues to suit either Chinese-style or Western-style wedding banquets of different scales.  Two designated venues are also available for celebrant services.  Couples who reserve wedding venues for more than 20 tables or 200 people are eligible to enjoy the Shetland pony photo services.  This service, which is unique in Hong Kong, is sure to leave the couples and their guests with unforgettable memories of the big day.
